famous Yacht Club with fantastic location, great views, food & service but...function & dining areas were looking a little tired & bare. High ceilings gave rooms a lost feel, lacking human scale, while views out were stunning, inside needed a bit of soft greenery & colour. They called on Interior Gardens for suggestions.
-we were able to submit suggestions, photos & costings to their Committee for both lush big hanging-baskets & green-walls
-these have the advantage of adding an instant 'cool breeze' of green, without any structural costs & without losing any floor space...
-the function Room had particularly high canvas 'sail' awning, here we used large hanging-baskets in staggered 3-2-3-2 rows. This gives the impression of a fuller ceiling using less baskets
-in the long, thinner dining pavilion, we used smaller but matching baskets for continuity
-a bare wall has also been transformed into a spectacular 'living' wall, with swathes of contasting foliages & textures. By adding signage to wall, this has become a popular 'selfie' backdrop, with all the great social media exposure giving 'free' advertising 24/7
the end result is an established Club that has freshened up its decor & appeal, by simply adding some quality artificial plants. Smooth sailing on cool-green breezes from here...
